Fun morning, November 1st, at the Bass Pro Shop in Mesa today. We did Canine Good Citizen Urban Testing.
Thank you to our evaluator, Janis Welsh.
We had 11 passes. I am so proud of all our dogs and handlers.
The store was very busy with shoppers and kids and other dogs. It was a challenging test but they all did great.
Watch for our next CGCU event!
What is Canine Good Citizen (CGC)?
Canine Good Citizen is a 10-skill test that teaches good manners to dogs and responsible dog ownership to their owners.
Here is a video to show the 2-part program that teaches responsible dog ownership to owners and basic training and good manners to dogs.
What is Canine Good Citizen Urban (CGCU)?
AKC Urban CGC is a public access test that demonstrates dogs are well-behaved and well-trained when in public settings.
The Urban CGC test can be used by dog- friendly business (e.g., lodging, retail, transportation, public facilities) to recognize and accept dogs with good manners.
