BISS GCHB CH Seashell's Everybody Talkin' About Me or 'Jack' as we know him, had the honor to perform at the PWDCA National Specialty this year, The Top Twenty Event.
Jack put on a fantastic show to the tune of 'Jumpin’Jack Flash' by the Rolling Stones with his handler, Katelyn Ford... The song fit him perfectly!
Congratulations to both owners, Pam Francis & Linda Otey!

'The 2026 PWDCA National Specialty is complete, and what an incredible week it was! Celebrating our beloved breed, reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, and walking away with memories that will last a lifetime.
A National Specialty is so much more than ribbons, titles, or wins. It's about the connections we make, the friendships we build, the knowledge we share, and the common bond that brings us all together, our love for the Portuguese Water Dog.
As I reflect on this past week, one thing stands out above everything else: the incredible things we can accomplish when people come together with a shared passion and a willingness to get involved.
Events like our National don't just happen. They are the result of countless individuals giving their time, sharing their talents, stepping up, and working together toward something bigger than themselves. That's the heart of what our clubs are all about.
And that's something I hope everyone takes away from this week.
Our clubs are only as strong as the people who choose to be part of them. They're where friendships begin, knowledge is passed down, traditions are preserved, and the future of our breed is shaped. They provide opportunities to learn, mentor, participate, give back, and make a difference.
So, here's my challenge to everyone: GET INVOLVED!
Join regional Portuguese Water Dog Clubs, even if they aren't in your back yard. Become a member of the PWDCA. Volunteer at an event, serve on a committee, share your knowledge, lend a hand, or simply show up and ask how you can help. You don't have to be an expert, a breeder, or a longtime exhibitor to make an impact. You simply need a passion for this wonderful breed and a willingness to contribute.
It's easy to look at an event and see the finished product. What's truly remarkable is the community of people behind it.
As we close the chapter on the 2026 National Specialty, I hope we carry forward more than wonderful memories. I hope we carry forward a renewed appreciation for our community, a greater sense of connection, and a desire to make our clubs even stronger.
Because at the end of the day, it's not just about the dogs that bring us together, it's about the people who keep us together.'
